The eTeleNext LIS is a comprehensive pathology lab system designed to track a specimen through the lab with maximum quality and
efficiency. The system has built-in flexibility with customizable features at patient data entry and test ordering. It allows multiple specimens per
patient entry and has a final verification summary of complete orders. The eTeleNext worklist system guides the specimens through the lab with
multiple quality assurance check points. Additional features of the eTeleNext LIS allows the laboratory to integrate test data from designated
medical devices (i.e. Beckman Coulter) and then review and format the test data before electronically signing and transmitting the report in a
preferred method (web, fax, etc). The application captures all data and images collected on the tests to more efficiently produce reports. There
is also a web-based remote pathology component so that Pathologists can view lab results and historical data, interact with the lab data, request
test add-ons, and create reports on-line. All administrative functionality is built into the application and is accessible with the proper user
permissions. Best of all it is a web based application that provides maximum efficiency and collaboration with Lab clients.
eTeleNext LIS Key Elements:
-
Customizable: Features can be turned on and off from an administration section, the look and feel can be modified and
manifests/ packing slips can be customized for each laboratory customer.
-
User Administration: All system users have pre-designated user privileges based on their job position.
-
Add/Edit Orders: Tests that need to be performed are ordered in this section. The system will auto-correct or flag any
incorrect information being entered. Tests already accessioned can also be reviewed and edited in this section.
-
View/Release Batches: Each test accessioned goes into a batch for review, which serves as a final check before sending the
order to the laboratory.
-
Travel Document Section: Each test entered prints on a department specific travel document that can accompany the
specimen through the lab.
-
Specimen Barcode Labels: Specimen labels are produced during the accession process. These specimen labels are applied
to the each specimen for tracking purposes and are available in many formats including travel document peel-off labels or
independent bar code printers.
-
Order/Results Inquiry: After test completion, the system will display the results. Tests with graphical representation can be
viewed as well.
-
Data Ordering, Data Validation, and Data Storage: Complete reporting systems and data warehousing techniques are
utilized to allow fast retrieval of current and archived data.
-
Audit Trails: Every user action is monitored and provides total accountability.
-
Customer Management: eTeleNext provides a complete customer management module for the tracking of client special
requests, customer service notes, test tracking and a test-add on module.
-
Worklist: Users see customized worklists tailored to their job function. As a case flows through the eTeleNext LIS, it appears
on different worklists to be processed. For example, a case will appear first on the lab tech’s worklist and then it will appear
on the pathologist’s worklist. Cases can be sorted in many ways such as date, master accession ID, patient name, client
name, and case status (accessioned, pending, and reported).
-
Set-up Menus: Users create customized reports through a variety of templates. Menu includes different page elements
(Header, Patient Info, Tech Results, Images, Footer, Professional Results, Signature Line), and users can load their own logo.
-
Remote Pathology: Remote pathologists can interact with their lab data. They can download raw data files and images, regate
histograms, request test-add-ons, request a second opinion or professional consultation, and customize the report.
-
Lab Connectivity: AP Anywhere™ allows any lab to be linked to their clients for the easy transfer of data and collaboration
on cases.
