eTeleNext developed a comprehensive laboratory test order-entry and results system. Solution included modules for specimen orders, printing packing slips and shipping manifests, specimen tracking through all major shipping companies, and a test results posting and notification system. All of it was done using 128 encryption with secure socket layers.

key elements

• Customizable: The product is designed to be custimizable to the clients needs. Features can be turned on and off from an administration section, the look and feel can be modified and manifests/packing slips can be customized for each laboratory.
• User Administration: All system users have pre-designed user priviledges based on their job position. The system has a comprehensive system for managing all user groups and which information they have access too.
• Add/Edit Orders: Tests that need to be performed are ordered in this section. The system will auto-correct or flag incorrect information being entered. Tests already ordered can also be edited in this section.
• View/Release Batches: Each test that was entered goes into a batch for review, which serves as a final check before sending the order to the laboratory.
• Manifest/Packing Slip Section: Each test that was entered goes into a manifest and packing Slip that serves as the final check point to ensure each specimen is included in the proper shipment.
• Order/Results Inquiry: After the laboratory has completed the requested tests, the system will display the results.  For certain tests a graphical representation can be viewed as well.
• Data Ordering/Data Validation, and Data Storage: Complete reporting systems and data warehousing techniques are utilized to allow fast retrieval of current and archieved data.
• Audit Trails: Every user action is monitored and provides total accountability.

The system is currently being deployed. The product was delivered in five months and on schedule. It will assist our client in stabilizing their market share by providing their customers with a secure and easy method for ordering and receiving test results.
